The realization that, if it was made, it could be used to destroy us all! Now I'm not referring to the human race as a whole when I say this.
If scientists find what makes us gay, (and I believe that it's in our DNA)then nanotechnology could be programmed to hunt down this gene and literally kill us all. And it won't matter if anyone knows that you are or not, it would kill us!
It's not that I'm against technology, I appreciate that nanotechnology could save lives. But is it worth it when the possiblility could be genocide?
I believe so. If people can't get past their prejudices, then they resort to vilolence. And if you give them something which can completly wipe out any group then they will use it. Then in days, we'd all be dead.
I'm just glad that scientists think it's near impossible to achieve.
Anyway, I best get back to writing.
